Deadline: February 21, 2020
The American Medical Association has opened a “call for submissions” for our first-ever GME Innovations Summit, a national conference bringing together leaders from across the medical education continuum to help create the residency programs of the future.
A critical extension of the AMA “Accelerating Change in Medical Education” initiative and its “Reimagining Residency” five-year grant program, this summit—through dynamic keynote presentations, an innovation challenge and interactive panel discussions—will focus on challenges facing resident training, spotlight pioneering approaches to transform GME, and share tactics to promote and sustain innovation at your institution.
The GME Innovations Summit will take place Oct. 5-6, 2020 at the Hyatt Regency in Sacramento, Calif.
The AMA is seeking two types of submissions:
(1) Presentations that showcase creative ideas and approaches to transform GME. These presentations will be considered for oral and/or poster presentations.
(2) Ideas for the AMA’s GME Innovation Challenge
Abstracts are due Feb. 21 at 6:00 p.m. Eastern time. Submitting authors will be informed of acceptance the week of March 16. Creating a new log-in is necessary, even if you have submitted previously to the AMA. Please review the submission instructions (link above) for more information about submitting your abstract. If you have any questions regarding the submission process, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
