OVERVIEW: Join us for this conference bringing together interprofessional public health and healthcare professionals to explore the policy landscape around LGBTQ youth and healthcare, services for gender diverse individuals, and ways to enhance your own skills in providing gender affirming care. Hear from advocates and leaders from MGH Institute of Health Professions, MGH Transgender Health Program, Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth, Fenway Institute, Boston GLASS, and more.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: Upon completion, participants will be able to:

Understand the policy landscape as it applies to LGBTQ youth and implications on healthcare.
Discuss challenges that gender diverse youth encounter and offer suggestions to improve access to healthcare and community support services.
Develop language and skills to provide excellent care for gender diverse individuals.
Apply knowledge about excellence in gender affirming care in different contexts (e.g., nursing, genetic counseling, etc.).
